- Deep proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy), SQL, and working with financial market APIs (Polygon, Interactive Brokers, Tradier, etc.).
- A solid grasp of US market mechanics—options greeks, market depth, order routing, and macroeconomic indicators aren’t just buzzwords to you; they’re your native language.
- The ability to separate statistical signal from random market noise.
2. Full-Stack / Systems Developer
The Vibe: You build fast, lightweight, rock-solid web infrastructure. You get physically uncomfortable when a webpage takes more than 1.5 seconds to load or when code looks like spaghetti.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Keeping bestock.tv screamingly fast, secure, and optimized for high-traffic spikes when market volatility goes wild.
- Building custom front-end widgets, interactive stock charts, and data visualization tools for our readers.
- Managing backend server configurations (Nginx/Cloudflare), caching policies, and database pipelines to handle real-time market data streams.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong hands-on experience with WordPress/PHP core development, JavaScript, and Python.
- Solid background in server administration, CDN tuning (Cloudflare), Nginx optimization, and database query tuning.
- You know how to build clean, lightweight UI without cluttering the DOM with 40 heavy third-party plugins.
3. Financial Writer / Market Analyst
The Vibe: You trade or track the US market daily, you write with a bite, and you despise dry, academic financial jargon that sleeps through market crashes.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Crafting sharp, punchy market breakdowns on US equities, Fed policy, sector rotations, and earnings playbooks.
- Translating complex quantitative flow data and technical setups into clear, engaging, conversational stories.
- Keeping your finger on the pulse of Wall Street—spotting macro trends and narrative shifts before they hit mainstream headlines.
What We’re Looking For:
- Real experience trading or analyzing US equities, options, and macro trends.
- A strong, distinct writing voice—humorous, confident, authentic, and completely free of generic AI-generated filler.
